I have owned the popular M3 Tri-shot shotgun before, now that was a fun gun with the same price as this. However two things that really bugged me about that gun. #1 I hate the M3 style, and wanted more of an 870 look. #2 the serious problem with the M3 was that it had hopup on only the top barrel, which mean 1 bb flies sky high, and the other 2 fly into the ground about 50 feet away. This gun fixes that! It has fixed hopup on all 3 inner barrels, and with .20g bbs they all fly amazingly straight with just enough spread to be effective. The sling mounts do not rattle on this gun either, which is awesome. It takes shells, which are loaded in through the metal door on the bottom. The outer barrel is metal, and so is the tube below it that the pump is on. I have to admit the stock and pump on this gun feel cheaper than other's I've had and have a rather plastic touch. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gun if you want a great tri-shot shotgun
